Academic Faculty Member – Full‑time Lecturer

About the role

The Academic Faculty Member will work full‑time on‑site at the Innovative University of Enga campus in Wabag. This role involves designing and delivering lectures, tutorials and practical sessions while contributing to the development of the university’s academic programmes and research culture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Prepare course materials, assignments, tests and examinations and assess student performance.
• Conduct and supervise scholarly or applied research, publish findings and mentor student research projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, continuous improvement of academic programmes and departmental meetings.
• Contribute to academic committees, outreach initiatives and community‑engagement activities aligned with the university’s mission.

Required profile

• Minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant discipline; a PhD is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated teaching experience with strong curriculum‑development skills.
• Research experience, including proposal development, publication in academic venues and supervision of student research.
• Excellent academic communication and collaboration abilities in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Organizational and administrative competence, including time‑management and academic reporting.
• Commitment to inclusive, student‑centered teaching for learners from varied cultural backgrounds.
• Willingness to help build academic structures and policies at a new university.
• Experience in higher‑education environments, preferably with exposure to PNG or comparable contexts.
