Cafeteria Services Manager

About the role

The Cafeteria Services Manager will lead daily operations of the university’s cafeteria in Wabag, ensuring the delivery of affordable, nutritious meals to students, staff and visitors. This full‑time, on‑site position involves menu planning, inventory control, staff supervision and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and schedule daily food preparation and menu offerings.
• Manage inventory, order supplies and coordinate with vendors to maintain quality ingredients.
• Supervise, train and schedule cafeteria staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Monitor hygiene, safety and university health regulations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Control budgets, track costs and implement cost‑effective processes.
• Handle customer feedback, resolve service issues and promote an inclusive dining experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cafeteria, food service or hospitality management, including staff supervision.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and relevant health regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial reporting and resource allocation.
• Effective leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant qualification in hospitality, catering, business administration or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications such as email, spreadsheets and point‑of‑sale systems.
