HR Information Systems Specialist

About the role

The Specialist – HR Information Systems will join New Porgera Limited’s Human Resources team to implement, maintain and support the company’s HR data platforms. Reporting to the Senior Specialist HRIS, the role ensures data integrity, security and usability across HR Oracle, Element and related tools.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, support and maintain HR information systems, including HR Oracle, Element and the ID Facial Recognition system.
• Ensure effective interface between HR Oracle and Oracle payroll systems, as well as the In‑Flight system.
• Query SQL Server for ad‑hoc analysis, create customised reports and dashboards using Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Studio.
• Lead regular system audits to verify data accuracy, consistency and security across all HR databases.
• Process HR documents (new hires, reclassifications, terminations) to meet fortnightly payroll deadlines.
• Provide training and technical support to HR officers and end‑users.
• Generate monthly HR statistics for the HR Manager, Finance and Safety departments.
• Maintain compliance with NPL Occupational Health & Safety policies.
