Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics (LAME)

About the role

The Avionics Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) will be based in Mount Hagen, PNG, performing inspection, fault diagnosis and testing of aircraft avionics systems to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and test aircraft electrical, radio and instrument systems, including associated wiring and avionics LRUs.
• Apply approved maintenance data, regulatory standards and aircraft documentation to release avionics systems to service safely.
• Maintain compliance with CASA PNG and ICAO regulations.

Required profile

• CASA PNG License Category Electrical, Instrument and Radio or ICAO aircraft maintenance engineer licence.
• Valid Police Clearance Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years aviation maintenance experience, preferably on Cessna Caravan 208 and Garmin 1000.
• Strong verbal, numerical and mechanical reasoning abilities.
• Effective communication, teamwork and commitment to organisational values.
