Commercial Manager – Mining & Marine

About the role

The Commercial Manager – Mining & Marine drives profitable growth for Puma Energy across its Mining, Marine and Major Industrial customer segments. You will develop customer relationships, identify new business opportunities and negotiate commercial agreements for fuels, lubricants and related energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies for Mining, Marine and Major Industrial segments.
• Identify new opportunities, expand existing accounts and meet volume, revenue, margin and profitability targets.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and manage opportunities effectively.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and create account plans for retention and growth.
• Lead negotiations, manage contract renewals, pricing reviews and commercial terms.
• Monitor segment profitability, work with supply and operations to optimise cost‑to‑serve.
• Provide market intelligence, support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply, Finance, HSSE and Customer Service to deliver commitments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Commerce or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in commercial, business development, account management, trading or supply roles.
• Proven experience managing large corporate, industrial, mining or marine customers.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to drive revenue and margin growth.
