Community Grants Scheme Project Officer

About the role

The Community Grants Scheme (CGS) Project Officer will support the administration and implementation of community grants in the Western Province, working under the direction of the CGS Manager. The role focuses on capacity development, good governance, and gender equality throughout the grants cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support and train Ward Development Committees and community groups to deliver participatory activities and manage grant funds in compliance with program requirements.
• Deliver capacity‑development and training strategies tailored to the needs of committees and grantees.
• Integrate gender equality, disability, and social inclusion approaches into all training and support activities.
• Assist WPA/SFD personnel and grantees in developing project plans, budgets, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Collaborate with procurement and administration officers on logistics, procurement and health‑safety compliance.

Required profile

• Relevant undergraduate degree in community development, project management or related field.
• At least five years of experience in community project implementation, including engagement, planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
• Demonstrated commitment to gender equity and social inclusion.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using online project‑management tools.
