Driver Trainer and Transport HSE Officer

About the role

Laba Holdings Limited is looking for a Driver Trainer and Transport HSE Officer to keep its transport service safe and to build a pipeline of village drivers for its owned fleet. The role supports Laba Logistics, which moves the Papua LNG downstream workforce between villages, accommodation camps and the plant site. You will be responsible for driver induction, journey management and incident investigation in line with ExxonMobil standards.

Key responsibilities

• Induct and assess drivers against ExxonMobil journey management standards.
• Run journey management covering routes, hazards, fatigue, speed, seatbelts and telematics exceptions.
• Investigate and report incidents, ensuring corrective actions are closed.
• Design and deliver the village driver training pathway, including licensing, defensive driving and passenger service.
• Maintain the driver competency register and ensure zero recordable vehicle incidents.
• Close telematics exceptions within 24 hours and train 60 village drivers before the fleet arrives.

Required profile

• Minimum five years experience as a driver trainer or transport HSE officer on a resource project.
• Heavy vehicle licence and driver trainer accreditation.
• Incident investigation training.
• Commitment to Laba’s QHSE policy and stop‑work authority.
• First preference given to candidates from the four Caution Bay villages as required by the Project Labour Agreement.
