Electrical Technician (PSO) – Kerema

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Generation, the Electrical Technician (PSO) will operate the Kerema Power Station efficiently to meet power output targets. The role involves performing mechanical and electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations to ensure reliable power supply.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain diesel and electrical power plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore machines and equipment.
• Provide accurate breakdown reports for plant and systems.
• Apply occupational health and safety procedures within the powerhouse environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Power Station Technician certificate.
• Tradesman Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical trades.

Required skills

• Electrical plant maintenance.
• Fault finding.
• Reporting.
