Events Coordinator – Communications & Public Diplomacy

About the role

The Events Coordinator will plan and deliver Incentive Fund project openings, launches, roadshows and other stakeholder events, ensuring they meet high standards and support the programme’s strategic communications and public diplomacy goals. Working closely with the Communications and Public Diplomacy Manager, the role covers stakeholder engagement, logistics, protocol, supplier coordination and on‑site management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute project openings, launches, roadshows and other stakeholder events.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, logistics, protocol and supplier coordination.
• Oversee on‑site event management to maintain quality standards.
• Support the Incentive Fund’s strategic communications and public diplomacy objectives.
• Collaborate with the Communications and Public Diplomacy Manager on event strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Media Studies (desirable).
• At least five years’ experience in similar development‑sector programmes in Papua New Guinea.
• Proven experience managing events in multi‑stakeholder settings.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills.
