Health Program Manager

About the role

The Health Program Manager will provide technical and program leadership for ChildFund PNG’s health portfolio, ensuring programmes are evidence‑informed, inclusive and deliver measurable health outcomes for children and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of health programmes aligned with national priorities and donor requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, ensure integration of child protection, GEDSI and community participation into health activities.
• Work with MEAL to develop indicators, track performance and use data for programme adaptation.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government health authorities, service providers, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Oversee donor reporting, budget management and compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, International Development or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in health programme management, preferably in a development context.

Required skills

• Technical leadership in health programming and evidence‑informed programme design.
• Strong ability to develop and use monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks.
