HR Manager – Lead People & Culture

About the role

The CHM Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead its HR function across multiple divisions. You will partner with senior leadership to shape people strategy, drive culture, and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for all divisions.
• Manage employment contracts, leave calendars, and HR reporting.
• Oversee payroll processing in collaboration with Finance.
• Coordinate performance reviews, training programs, and staff development.
• Champion employee engagement, well‑being, and culture initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Papua New Guinea labour laws and internal policies.
• Supervise HR administration, personnel files, and general office operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of PNG labour legislation (preferred).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, hands‑on, and highly organized.
