About the role
The Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator will lead the design and implementation of World Vision’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems for the program in the Western Highlands Province. The role ensures accurate measurement of progress, outcomes and quality, and translates evidence into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project‑specific MEAL frameworks, logframes, activity budgets and narrative plans.
- Plan, lead and oversee outcome monitoring studies, including baseline, midline and end‑line surveys, pre/post‑tests, FGDs and KIIs.
- Manage field‑level data collection, training of casual workers, data cleaning, analysis and reporting.
- Conduct monthly ITT verifications and share key findings with management.
- Oversee partner and direct implementation through site visits, data audits and spot checks.
- Implement community‑driven accountability processes, receive and respond to feedback and complaints.
- Lead lessons‑learned events and produce knowledge products such as case studies.
Required profile
- Degree in Mathematics, International/Community Development or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of M&E experience in a relief or development NGO.
- Fluency in English and Tok Pisin.
- Willingness to travel to remote communities and work with little supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work in a cross‑cultural setting.
Required skills
- Excel and other statistical packages.
- Data analysis and expert data handling (classification, tabulation, etc.).
- Information presentation techniques such as graphing and charting.
