Programme Analyst – Ending Violence Against Women

About the role

The Programme Analyst will support the implementation of the "Soim Wokabout: Gender‑Based Violence Referral Pathways Programme" in Papua New Guinea. Reporting to the EVAWG Programme Manager, the analyst ensures effective programme design, monitoring, and reporting across national, provincial and community levels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical input to programme design, proposals, workplans and budgets, and lead coordination of calls for proposals.
• Monitor implementation using results‑based management tools, review partner financial and narrative reports, and support audit preparation.
• Develop knowledge products, briefing notes and advocacy materials, and coordinate inter‑agency activities on gender‑based violence.
• Maintain relationships with national partners, identify capacity‑building needs and deliver trainings on monitoring and results‑based management.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy or related field.
• Experience in programme formulation, implementation and evaluation in gender‑based violence or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work with UN agencies, government officials and civil‑society partners.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Results Based Management and monitoring & evaluation methodologies.
• Budget planning, financial reporting and audit preparation skills.
• Excellent analytical, report writing and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
