Project Administrative and Finance Analyst

About the role

The Project Administrative and Finance Analyst will support the Forest, Climate Change and Biodiversity SRBC Accelerator, a joint UNDP‑FAO initiative in Papua New Guinea. The role combines financial analysis, budget monitoring and administrative coordination to help strengthen the capacity of national climate and biodiversity agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports, budgets and expenditure tracking for the accelerator project.
• Support the preparation of high‑quality Public Investment Programme (PIP) submissions and ensure compliance with UNDP financial guidelines.
• Coordinate procurement processes, maintain documentation and liaise with partner agencies (CCDA, CEPA, PNGFA).
• Monitor project cash flows, forecast funding needs and assist in financial risk assessments.
• Provide administrative support for meetings, reporting and data management related to climate and biodiversity initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, public administration or a related field.
• Relevant experience in project finance, budgeting and administrative support, preferably in an international development or UN context.
• Familiarity with UN procurement and financial rules is an advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and capacity to work with multiple stakeholders.
