Provincial Project Coordinator

About the role

The Provincial Project Coordinator will lead community coordination efforts across the province, working closely with health authorities, local leaders, and partners to ensure successful implementation of the CNSP 1 project. This role involves field monitoring, stakeholder communication, and resource management to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with the National Department of Health, Western Provincial Health Authority, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote project awareness.
• Support district project officers in planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities.
• Act as the provincial focal point for all CNSP 1 matters, coordinating with government agencies, INGOs, DDAs, LLGs, and local communities.
• Conduct regular field visits to track progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to senior coordinators and the national project manager.
• Manage project resources to stay within budget and schedule, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure safeguarding compliance for children, adults, clients, and beneficiaries.
• Represent World Vision in nutrition forums and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, health management, business economics, agriculture, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Basic understanding of the project management cycle.
• Excellent written and oral English proficiency.
• Knowledge of PNG government systems and programs.
