About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Registered Nursing Officer to join our healthcare team in Papua New Guinea. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality nursing care, supporting patient safety, and collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Monitor patient health status, administer medications, and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other staff to develop and review multidisciplinary care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records in line with legal and organisational standards.
- Educate patients and families on health management, procedures, and preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with infection‑control guidelines and maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on nursing best practices and regulations.
Required profile
- Registered Nursing qualification recognised in Papua New Guinea or equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical competence with a patient‑centred approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and ongoing learning.
