Senior Construction Projects Supervisor

About the role

New Porgera Limited is seeking a Senior Construction Projects Supervisor to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of construction and community infrastructure projects within its operational area. Reporting to the Superintendent – Construction Projects, the role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget and in line with engineering standards and statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities across multiple project sites.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, work schedules and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with engineering statements of work, specifications and safety procedures (JSA, SWP).
• Manage earth‑moving, civil, structural and specialised contractors.
• Prepare reports, cost variance analyses and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate demobilisation of resources, equipment and implement stock reduction plans.
• Liaise with engineers, planners and procurement to secure timely material delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced professional with proven leadership in construction project supervision.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, security and environmental management in a mining environment.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules and contractor performance.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
