Site Engineer, Infrastructure

About the role

The Site Engineer, Infrastructure will provide day‑to‑day technical oversight and supervision of construction and infrastructure projects that support law and justice agencies across the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (ARoB). Working closely with the APLJ infrastructure team, contractors, consultants and government counterparts, the engineer will ensure that works meet approved designs, specifications, contract requirements and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with designs, technical specifications and contract terms.
• Monitor health, safety, environmental and safeguarding obligations on site.
• Act as liaison between project partners, contractors and site‑based activities.
• Identify and resolve technical and implementation issues promptly.
• Track contractor performance and provide accurate, timely reporting on project progress.
