Site Engineer, Infrastructure

About the role

DT Global is seeking a Site Engineer to provide day‑to‑day technical oversight of infrastructure projects that support law and justice agencies across Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. The role will ensure construction works meet approved designs, specifications and contractual obligations while adhering to health, safety, environmental and safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction and infrastructure activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with designs, technical specifications and contract requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, identify and resolve technical or implementation issues promptly.
• Coordinate with APLJ’s infrastructure team, consultants, government counterparts and other stakeholders to keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on progress, quality, risks and any deviations from the project plan.
• Ensure all works comply with applicable standards, health and safety regulations, and safeguarding obligations.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (civil, structural or related field).
• Proven experience supervising construction or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with contract administration, technical specifications and project schedules.
• Ability to work closely with multi‑disciplinary teams and government partners.
