About the role

The Supervisor for Student Residence Life and Housing is a full‑time, on‑site position at the Innovative University of Enga. The role is responsible for managing daily operations of student housing, ensuring a safe and inclusive residential environment, and supporting student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of student housing, including room assignments and occupancy management.
• Coordinate maintenance and facilities requests to ensure safe living conditions.
• Supervise residence life staff, monitor performance and provide mentoring.
• Respond to student inquiries and resolve conduct or wellbeing concerns.
• Facilitate check‑in and check‑out processes for incoming and departing students.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative units to enhance the student experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation, prepare regular reports and contribute to continuous improvement of residence services.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience with staff oversight, performance monitoring and mentoring.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Background in education or student services with an understanding of residential campus life.
• Customer‑service orientation to support student needs and resolve issues.
• Ability to develop and deliver orientation and professional development for residence staff.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in education, management, social sciences or a related field (preferred).
• Demonstrated organizational and problem‑solving abilities and a commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Papua New Guinea and collaborate within a culturally diverse community.
