Talent Acquisition Partner – Recruitment Specialist

About the role

SMEC, part of the SJ Group, is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Partner to support its growing operations across Papua New Guinea and the wider Pacific region. The role will partner with hiring managers and key stakeholders on bids and active positions, delivering end‑to‑end recruitment services for the professional services business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert resourcing consultation and recruitment support to hiring managers and stakeholders.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, talent mapping, interviews, reference and compliance checks, and offer management.
• Build and nurture strong internal and external candidate networks and maintain trust with stakeholders.
• Negotiate offers and promote SMEC’s employer brand in the market.
• Document, plan, market, and execute recruitment programs efficiently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum five years of end‑to‑end recruitment experience within the professional services industry.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver recruitment activities efficiently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and problem‑solving capability.
