Videographer for Australia PNG Subnational Program (APSP)

About the role

The Videographer will lead the planning, capture, editing and delivery of high‑quality visual content for the Australia PNG Subnational Program (APSP). This position provides in‑house capability to produce engaging video and photographic stories that illustrate program activities, stakeholder engagement and community impact across PNG.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, film and edit professional‑quality video for APSP communications, including social media reels, short documentaries, interviews, event coverage and campaign content.
• Capture photographic content at activities, events, project sites and community locations in Port Moresby and other provinces.
• Maintain an organised library of footage, photographs, audio files and final products for future use.
• Ensure all visual material complies with PNG–Australia partnership branding, style and clearance requirements.
• Apply gender, disability, social inclusion, safeguarding and ethical storytelling principles in all productions.
• Provide technical advice to communications and program staff on visual storytelling, filming approaches and content suitability for different channels.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in communications, journalism, film, media production, marketing or a related discipline (highly regarded).
• Minimum five years’ professional experience in filming, editing and producing video content, preferably for communications, development or social‑impact contexts.
• Ability to travel within Papua New Guinea, including remote provincial locations, as required.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
