Auto Electrical Technician (Underground Mining)

About the role

K92 Mining Limited is seeking an Auto‑Electrical Technician to perform breakdown and preventative maintenance on a wide range of underground and surface mobile equipment, supporting the expansion of its high‑grade gold mine.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on a large fleet of underground mining equipment, including Sandvik drills, trucks and loaders, as well as CAT and Normet ancillary equipment.
• Conduct regular electrical tests and tagging on equipment and machines to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Direct and train subordinates in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring, equipment and machines.
• Maintain safety work standards in line with government regulations and company policy.

Required profile

• NATTB‑certified Trade Certificate in Auto‑Electrical.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in heavy industry, preferably mining.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining electrical equipment on mobile fleets such as drills, trucks, loaders, dozers and excavators.
• Experience with automotive air‑conditioning systems and a strong safety focus.
