Bus Driver (FIFO – Mining Site)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, safety‑focused Bus Driver to join our People – Camp & Travel Department and support the Hidden Valley mining operations. The position is a FIFO role for PNG nationals, working a 14‑day on / 7‑day off roster and involves transporting employees between accommodation, the mine site and other designated locations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive buses safely, professionally and efficiently at all times.
• Complete all required pre‑start and operational checks and report any vehicle defects or safety concerns.
• Refuel buses and ensure they are ready for the next shift.
• Attend daily operational meetings and toolbox safety discussions.
• Maintain radio communication with the APD Control Room at designated call‑out points.
• Comply with all site and off‑site safety procedures and support additional operational tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant bus driving experience; mining‑site experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of road safety and defensive driving practices.
• Grade 10 or 12 education level and a current PNG Class 6 driver’s licence.
• Ability to work shifts or longer hours as needed, with reliable and punctual attendance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, safety‑conscious attitude.
• PNG citizenship and willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
