Country Manager

About the role

Lead Sarens' operations and growth in Papua New Guinea, based in Port Moresby and reporting to the Regional Director Oceania. The Country Manager is accountable for safety, commercial performance, operational delivery, and strategic expansion of Sarens PNG.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Sarens SHEQ standards and local legislation.
• Manage the country P&L, budgeting, forecasting and overall commercial performance.
• Drive business growth through client relationship management, tendering and contract negotiations.
• Oversee operational performance, project delivery and fleet utilisation.
• Develop and lead a high‑performing team, focusing on Papua New Guinea national talent.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, government authorities, communities and key stakeholders.
• Report on operational, financial and safety performance and contribute to regional business strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years senior leadership experience in cranage, heavy lifting, transport, mining, construction or a related industry.
• Proven P&L responsibility for a business unit.
• Strong experience working in Papua New Guinea and understanding of the local business environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership.
• Commercial acumen with experience in tendering, contracts and client management.
• Experience leading and developing multicultural teams with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
