Data Specialist – Curation (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for meticulous individuals to label, annotate, rank and structure data that will be used to train and evaluate AI systems. The work involves handling text, images, audio and video according to detailed guidelines, as well as creating reference material and evaluation questions. Depending on your skills you may also capture field data – photographing and recording everyday life in Papua New Guinea for use in training datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Label and annotate text, images, audio and video following written guidelines.
• Compare and rank model outputs, providing short written rationales.
• Create reference material, evaluation questions and standardise records across sources.
• Capture field data (photography/video) of Papua New Guinean locations and practices where applicable.
• Maintain high‑quality standards and consistency in all outputs.

Required profile

• Excellent command of written English and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and flag gaps in guidelines.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software quickly.
• Open to full‑time or part‑time commitment; Papua New Guinean citizenship required.
