District Project Officer – Enga

About the role

The District Project Officer will support World Vision Papua New Guinea in delivering the UNICEF HCD immunization outreach project in Enga Province. Working closely with the Provincial Health Authority (PHA) and local outreach teams, the officer will help ensure zero‑dose children receive essential vaccines.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with PHA and District Outreach program to roll out immunization outreach to targeted households.
• Link Village Health Assistants (VHAs), Community Health Workers (CHWs), Ward Counsellors and community leaders to increase demand for immunization.
• Collect, write and submit activity reports on time.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and update the Project Coordinator.
• Identify challenges, work with PHA to find solutions and support the HCD program in the district.
• Work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator and coordinate with Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation and the Area Program Team.

Required profile

• Local applicant residing in Papua New Guinea.
• Experience in community health, immunization programs or related outreach activities.
• Strong ability to build relationships with government officials, health workers and community leaders.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
