Field Service Technician – Engine Repair

About the role

Based out of our Lae branch, the Field Service Technician will diagnose and repair engines directly at customer sites, ensuring timely and professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers courteously, anticipate needs and provide prompt service.
• Use specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose faults and complete repairs, including parts preparation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on engines and related components according to schedules.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
• Complete service documentation, warranty claims and timesheets using business system screens.
• Identify additional service opportunities during visits.

Required profile

• Qualified mechanic with Heavy Vehicle Qualification – Plant Mechanic, Fitter or Heavy Diesel.
• Valid locally‑issued driving permit.
• Ability to work unsupervised, on‑call and overtime as required.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically.
