Fleet and Depot Supervisor

About the role

Laba Holdings Limited is expanding its logistics arm to support the PNG LNG and Papua LNG projects. The Fleet and Depot Supervisor will be responsible for daily bus operations, ensuring vehicles are ready, supervising drivers, and managing the future depot on Laba land. This role reports to the Transport Manager and will act as deputy when required. The supervisor must also ensure compliance with Laba’s QHSE policies and give first preference to local hiring as required by the Project Labour Agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre‑start and post‑shift inspections with drivers, logging and closing any defects.
• Supervise marshalling, loading and departures at pick‑up points and the plant gate.
• Coordinate breakdown response and arrange replacement buses to minimise downtime.
• Monitor operator performance against the hire agreement and report non‑conformances.
• Take over depot operations once the Laba depot becomes operational.
• Deputise for the Transport Manager on site as needed.
• Ensure all buses comply with QHSE standards and stop‑work authority procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience supervising transport or fleet operations, preferably on a resource project.
• Valid heavy vehicle licence.
• Preference for candidates from one of the four Caution Bay villages.
• Demonstrated ability to work under the Project Labour Agreement guidelines.
