Learning & Development Officer

About the role

The Learning & Development Officer will support capacity building, staff orientation and employee engagement initiatives for World Vision Papua New Guinea. This role works closely with the L&D Coordinator and P&C team to deliver training, performance management and employee relations services.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate policy information sessions, in‑house training programs and monthly Learning & Reflection events.
• Coordinate new employee inductions, track orientation completion and ensure all staff are oriented within three months.
• Maintain accurate training records, manage external training provider information and track mandatory online trainings.
• Assist with performance management processes, including PFP guidance, performance counselling and audit documentation.
• Provide support on employee relations matters, preparing warning, suspension and termination letters and maintaining confidential records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 2–3 years experience in Human Resources, Training or Employee Relations.
• PNG HR Professional certification.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
