Licensed Electrician – Mining Camp Operations

About the role

PanAust Limited is seeking a Licensed Electrician to join its high‑performing mining team. You will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems that keep our remote camp facilities and power generation assets running.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on HV/LV equipment, lighting circuits, buildings and associated facilities.
• Install, inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems across offices, accommodation, kitchens, medical areas, communications infrastructure and drill support zones.
• Maintain and monitor power generation assets, including generators, distribution boards and control systems.
• Ensure continuous power supply to critical services such as refrigeration, fuel, communications and water.
• Diagnose faults using appropriate testing equipment and restore systems safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Apply lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) and isolation procedures and ensure compliance with AS/NZS wiring rules and site standards.

Required profile

• Valid electrical licence.
• Experience with HV/LV systems and generator maintenance.
• Ability to work safely in a remote, high‑risk mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS wiring regulations and LOTO procedures.
• Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and schematics.
