About the role

MOBO Clinic is seeking a dedicated Medical Officer to provide comprehensive clinical services in Port Moresby. You will play a key part in delivering patient‑centered care, preventive health programs, and community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Provide preventive care through screenings, vaccinations, and health education.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
• Deliver acute care for short‑term illnesses and injuries.
• Participate in community health outreach and awareness activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical and legal standards.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinic development initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a valid license to practice.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in public health or rural community settings.
• Leadership and organizational skills, able to work under pressure.
• Empathy, adaptability, and a commitment to preventive and holistic care.
