Project Administrative and Finance Analyst

About the role

The Project Administrative and Finance Analyst will support the Forest, Climate Change and Biodiversity SRBC Accelerator in Papua New Guinea, reporting to the International Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Technical Specialist. The role ensures financial compliance, budgeting, and logistical support for effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project payments, quarterly and annual financial reporting, and budget revisions in UNDP’s Quantum system.
• Provide administrative, operational, and logistical support for workshops, missions, and contractor recruitment.
• Coordinate procurement and contractual processes in line with UNDP rules.
• Prepare briefing materials, background information, and support communication with donors and partners.

Required profile

• Experience in project finance and administration within UN or similar development environments.
• Knowledge of UNDP financial, procurement and administrative guidelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Required skills

• Proficiency with UNDP’s Quantum financial management system.
• Budget management and financial reporting.
• Procurement and contract administration.
