Project Coordinator – Community Climate Resilience

About the role
The Project Coordinator will lead planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting for community climate‑resilience and livelihood activities in the Western Highlands. Working with Project Officers, field teams and technical specialists, the role ensures delivery of nature‑based solutions, climate‑smart agriculture, disaster risk reduction and market‑access initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated implementation plans, schedules and delivery targets with Project Officers and technical specialists.
- Coordinate community needs assessments and planning for nature‑based solutions, climate‑smart agriculture and disaster risk reduction.
- Guide and supervise Project Officers and field teams, reviewing workplans and providing coaching.
- Oversee implementation of climate mitigation and adaptation activities, ensuring technical standards and inclusive participation.
- Monitor budgets, expenditures and compliance, maintaining action and risk trackers.
- Ensure safeguarding, consent and confidentiality requirements are applied and report any protection concerns.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management or related field.
- Diploma or equivalent training in Project Management.
- At least three years of project management experience in community development or relief programmes.
- Experience coordinating design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Knowledge of climate‑smart agriculture, ecosystem‑based solutions and disaster risk reduction.
- Strong written and oral English; Tok Pisin is an advantage.
