Project Manager – Australia Awards PNG

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead the delivery of Australia Awards PNG initiatives. In this role you will coordinate activities, manage budgets and support partnerships that empower the next generation of leaders in Papua New Guinea.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage activity timelines to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support effective delivery of program activities.
• Develop, monitor and track activity budgets and expenditures.
• Organise events, meetings, travel arrangements and logistics as required.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Support programme‑wide initiatives, promote a positive team culture and maintain a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Diploma in business administration, project management or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing complex, time‑bound projects and delivering quality outcomes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative and judgement.
• Strong communication and cross‑cultural relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management and ability to handle competing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
