Senior Maintenance Planner (CAMG)

About the role

PNG Air is seeking an experienced Senior Planner for its Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Group (CAMG). The role oversees short‑term and long‑term aircraft maintenance planning, creates work packs, and ensures timely delivery of parts and consumables to the MRO.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast short‑term and long‑term maintenance requirements, including critical parts and rotables.
• Requisition critical parts and rotables ahead of KPI deadlines.
• Compile and deliver work packs to the MRO according to schedule.
• Requisition parts and consumables at the time of work‑pack delivery.
• Assist with technical records to prevent backlogs.
• Supervise all short‑term and long‑term planning activities.
• Produce and deliver ATR and Dash‑8 checks per CAMM manual timelines.
• Update forecasts quarterly and monitor utilization rates.
• Maintain monthly pre‑load lists to maximise part usage.
• Track and manage deferrals to meet KPI targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in technical records or maintenance planning.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Physically fit with good customer service skills.
• Strong communication abilities.

Required skills

• IAS training and RAAS training.
• Knowledge of CAR Parts regulations (Parts 91, 43, 119, 121, 125).
• High level of computer literacy.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning processes.
