Senior Solution Architect

About the role

Senior Solution Architect – senior technical presence in front of customers throughout the sales cycle, leading demonstrations, gathering requirements and producing solution architectures for government and enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to each customer’s processes.
• Act as the senior technical point of contact from initial conversation through contract signing.
• Run requirements‑gathering workshops and translate discussions into documented, agreed requirements.
• Produce solution designs, effort estimates and own the technical sections of bids, proposals and tenders.
• Create supporting artefacts such as context diagrams, integration designs, data‑flow and interface specifications.
• Assess fit with existing NiuPay platforms, distinguishing configuration, extension or new build.
• Design hosting, deployment and environment approaches on AWS, addressing security, data sovereignty and regulatory needs.
• Hand over cleanly to delivery and remain available for design questions post‑contract.
• Develop interns and junior technical staff in customer‑facing roles, reviewing their work and setting presentation standards.
• Build reusable demonstration assets, reference architectures and estimating patterns.

Required profile

• 7+ years in solution architecture, presales or technical consulting with direct customer‑facing responsibility.
• Proven record of running demonstrations and technical discussions with senior government or enterprise stakeholders.
• Experience gathering requirements and converting open‑ended discussions into documented scope.
• Practical experience designing and deploying on AWS, with AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification or ability to obtain it during probation.
• Integration experience across external systems (APIs, file‑based interfaces, identity, payments).
• Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior technical staff.
• Strong technical writing that satisfies both technical reviewers and non‑technical decision makers.
• Qualification in computer science, IT, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
