Trainer

About the role

The Trainer will administer and deliver technical and non‑technical training programmes for K92 Mining’s national workforce, with a focus on mobile plant maintenance, safety compliance and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical and non‑technical training in line with the Technical Training Standard (HR‑ST‑701).
• Assist department trainers with training needs analysis and planning.
• Administer Safetrac training, maintain records, track compliance and produce reports.
• Schedule and coordinate non‑technical training programmes.
• Support School‑to‑Mine and Wellness programmes on site.
• Manage training documentation for the HR department and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Monitor training delivery, develop materials, evaluations and maintain document control.
• Promote a safe and healthy culture and ensure adherence to K92 safety standards, policies and procedures.
• Assist with site‑based HSE training to meet mandatory and induction requirements.

Required profile

• Mechanical Trade qualification.
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training.
• Valid Class 7 PNG driver’s licence.
• Minimum four years’ experience delivering training, preferably in mining or construction.
• Demonstrated experience with relevant machinery.
• Strong computer literacy, especially MS Office.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
