About the role
NTU International is seeking a qualified Non-Key Expert to provide technical assistance on gender equality, human rights, social inclusion and civil society participation for EU‑funded programmes in Papua New Guinea and the wider Pacific region.
Key responsibilities
- Support the EU Delegation in programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development cooperation operations.
- Conduct gender, human rights and social inclusion analyses and develop action plans.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations, policy dialogue and participatory processes with public authorities and civil society.
- Provide capacity‑building and institutional strengthening support to partner‑country institutions.
- Monitor and evaluate gender, human rights and civil society programmes and ensure mainstreaming across development initiatives.
Required profile
- University degree (preferably postgraduate) in gender studies, human rights, social sciences, development studies, law or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in developing countries on gender equality, human rights, civil society or social inclusion.
- Strong knowledge of gender mainstreaming, women’s empowerment, rights‑based development and stakeholder engagement, preferably in Papua New Guinea or the Pacific.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently in multicultural teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally and to remote areas as required.
