About the role
NTU International seeks a qualified Non-Key Expert to provide technical assistance for EU‑funded programmes in Papua New Guinea and the Pacific region. The expert will support the EU Delegation in programming, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of development cooperation operations, with a strong focus on gender equality, human rights, and civil society participation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver technical assistance and support to the EU Delegation for programme design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Facilitate coordination and dialogue with partner‑country institutions, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders.
- Lead gender mainstreaming, women’s empowerment, and human‑rights‑based approaches across development projects.
- Conduct gender and social inclusion analyses, develop action plans, and monitor programme outcomes.
- Strengthen institutional capacity through training, policy dialogue, and stakeholder consultation.
Required profile
- University degree (preferably postgraduate) in gender studies, human rights, social sciences, development studies, political science, sociology, law or related fields.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in developing countries on gender equality, human rights, civil society, or social inclusion.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to draft high‑quality reports.
- Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary, multicultural teams and travel to remote areas.
