Provincial Project Coordinator

About the role

The Provincial Project Coordinator will lead community coordination for health‑related projects, working closely with national and provincial health authorities, NGOs, and local leaders to ensure effective implementation and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage community coordination, engaging with the National Department of Health, Western Provincial Health Authority, community leaders and other stakeholders.
• Support district project officers in planning, implementing and monitoring activities in line with project objectives.
• Serve as the provincial focal point for CNSP‑1 project matters, ensuring clear communication among government bodies, INGOs, DDAs, LLGs and communities.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, identify challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit detailed progress, challenge and outcome reports to senior management.
• Manage project resources to stay within budget and schedule, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure safeguarding compliance for children, adults, clients and beneficiaries.
• Represent World Vision in nutrition forums and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in social work, business economics, agriculture, health, public health or health management.
• Strong interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Basic understanding of the project management cycle.
• High standard of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of PNG government systems and programs.
