Welcome Host Captain

About the role

As a Welcome Host Captain you will be the face of the hotel, ensuring every guest enjoys a smooth arrival and departure experience. You will lead the bell and valet teams, coordinate luggage handling, and create memorable first impressions for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, escort, and assist arriving and departing guests, including luggage transport and orientation to rooms and amenities.
• Organize, store, and retrieve guest luggage in line with hotel standards.
• Supervise daily operations of the bell desk and valet team, manage schedules, and provide training and coaching.
• Keep the team informed about hotel offerings, services, and local attractions.
• Maintain bell carts, communication devices, and related equipment to ensure functionality.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience in guest services, bell desk, or concierge operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a guest‑focused mindset.
• Ability to handle high guest volumes, special requests, and challenging situations professionally.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
