Communications Coordinator (Digital Content)

About the role

The Communications Coordinator (Digital Content) will lead the creation and delivery of engaging multimedia content for the Strongim Wok Long TVET programme. Working across technical colleges, DHERST and the wider TVET sector, you will identify compelling stories and produce high‑quality written, photographic and video material for digital and social media channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute content priorities in line with the Communications and Public Diplomacy Strategy.
• Identify, interview and profile stakeholders to produce media releases, case studies and feature stories.
• Capture high‑quality photographs and video footage during field visits, events and program activities.
• Edit footage into short‑form videos, reels and interview clips for digital distribution.
• Develop and support social media campaigns, adapting content for different platforms and audiences.
• Maintain an organised digital asset library and ensure all content meets branding, safeguarding and consent requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of professional experience in journalism, digital media or multimedia storytelling.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating writing, photography and video production.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams while managing competing deadlines.
• Understanding of PNG’s political and cultural context and experience working with government or donor‑funded programmes (preferred).
