Distribution Utility Management Expert / Team Leader

About the role

The Distribution Utility Management Expert/Team Leader works closely with the PMO Director to ensure project outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This senior position leads the planning, execution, and monitoring of utility distribution projects, coordinating both national and international specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed work programs, implementation schedules, and project completion reports.
• Assist the PMO Director in financial monitoring, budget preparation, claim assessment, and cost‑control mechanisms.
• Support human‑resource management, including staff performance monitoring, training needs, and satisfaction.
• Lead risk management and occupational health and safety (OHS) compliance activities.
• Coordinate activities of international and national specialists and ensure alignment with contractors.
• Review contractor schedules, technical risks, design documentation, material specifications, and corrosion protection systems.
• Inspect and witness testing of electrical plant and equipment.
• Prepare progress reports, monitoring procedures, and guidelines for staff during project implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale utility or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost‑control in project environments.
• Experience with risk assessment, OHS regulations, and compliance monitoring.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate international and local experts.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
