Minor Works/Projects Superintendent (6-month contract)

About the role

Brunel International is looking for an experienced Minor Works/Projects Superintendent to join a 6‑month contract on a FIFO roster. The role will be based in remote locations within the resources sector and will involve overseeing small‑scale construction and maintenance projects from mobilisation through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute minor works and small projects ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Monitor contractor performance, manage site activities and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with client representatives, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth operations.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Minor Works or Projects Superintendent in mining, resources or construction.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and Australian construction safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work on FIFO rosters in remote locations.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management or a related field.

Required skills

• Current Australian construction safety tickets (e.g., White Card, Site Induction).
