Head of Site Infrastructure & Services (Mining & Natural Resources)

About the role

The Head of Site Infrastructure & Services will lead the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of all critical infrastructure supporting remote mining activities in Mave, Central Province, Papua New Guinea. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures reliable utilities, accommodation, workshops, roads and other facilities essential for safe and uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, construction and delivery of site infrastructure projects including camps, workshops, warehouses, roads, drainage, bridges and operational facilities.
• Manage site utilities such as power generation, water supply, wastewater treatment, fuel storage and related services.
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programmes for buildings, mechanical systems, camp infrastructure and other assets.
• Supervise multidisciplinary maintenance teams, contractors and external service providers, ensuring work is performed safely and to specification.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, contractor performance and engineering quality to achieve timely delivery.
• Coordinate closely with mining operations, logistics, procurement and executive leadership to align infrastructure support with production needs.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in infrastructure or facilities management within remote or mining environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental and operational standards in the mining sector.
• Experience overseeing utility systems, construction projects and maintenance programmes.
