Mission Pilot – Full‑time (PNG Nationals)

About the role

Mission Aviation Fellowship PNG is looking for qualified Mission Pilots to operate aircraft in remote areas of Papua New Guinea. The role combines regular flight duties with support for medical evacuations, transport of health workers, church teams, and relief supplies, linking isolated communities to essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate MAF aircraft in accordance with company policies and aviation regulations.
• Conduct medical evacuation flights and transport personnel and supplies to remote locations.
• Perform short‑field and jungle runway operations.
• Assist in operational, safety, and quality initiatives as needed.
• Maintain accurate flight logs and ensure aircraft readiness.

Required profile

• PNG national (open only to PNG citizens).
• Active Christian involvement with a pastor’s reference confirming character.
• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• ICAO English proficiency Level 4.
• At least 1,000 total flight hours.

Required skills

• Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR).
• Valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate (Class 2 acceptable during operations).
• Experience with PT6 turbine engines.
• Proficiency flying Cessna 208 (C208) aircraft.
• Remote or short‑field operational experience.
