Planner – Material Coordinator – Construction Projects

About the role

New Porgera Limited is seeking a Planner – Material Coordinator to support construction projects within its Community Projects division. The role focuses on synchronising construction schedules with material supply chains to ensure timely delivery and optimal workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material schedules aligned with construction timelines.
• Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and site teams for on‑time material delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage storage logistics.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to material availability or delays.
• Collaborate with project managers to align planning with on‑site needs.
• Maintain accurate records of material usage, deliveries, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning or material coordination within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, procurement, and supply‑chain logistics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize under pressure.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, logistics, or engineering are desirable.
