About the role
World Vision is seeking a Project Officer to lead and coordinate climate‑resilience initiatives that use ecosystem‑based solutions. The role focuses on supporting vulnerable children and communities by delivering high‑quality project activities, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor project activities that promote community climate resilience and nature‑based mitigation.
- Coordinate with technical specialists, field staff, and partners to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage project budgets, financial compliance, and timely reporting.
- Prepare and submit progress, monthly, and final reports in line with donor requirements.
- Organise project assessments, evaluations, and learning sessions.
- Train field staff on monthly work‑plan development and reflective practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Tropical Agriculture (preferred).
- Diploma in Project Management.
- Minimum 3 years experience in community development, relief, or project management.
- Experience working with partners in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, cross‑cultural, and communication skills in English.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
