Assistant Manager - Fund Accounting

About the role

Join Ocorian as an Assistant Manager in Fund Accounting, applying your accounting expertise across a diverse portfolio of fund structures and investment vehicles. You will work closely with fund administrators, auditors and clients to deliver accurate financial statements, fund reporting and Net Asset Value calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of fund structures, transactions and reporting requirements to support accurate delivery of financial information.
• Coordinate preparation of financial statements, management accounts and fund reporting deliverables, meeting agreed timelines.
• Apply relevant accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP) to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
• Support the launch of new funds by establishing effective accounting and reporting processes.
• Partner with administration teams to maintain accurate bookkeeping and transactional records.
• Calculate and review Net Asset Values (NAVs) in line with fund documentation.
• Build strong relationships with clients, auditors and advisers, coordinating reporting timetables and audit activities.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives for accounting processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• ACCA or ACA qualified, or equivalent experience in accounting or financial services.
• Strong fund reporting experience, preferably in private equity, real estate or related funds.
• Sound technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP and ability to apply principles pragmatically.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and planning skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for professional client and auditor interaction.
